It has been almost 20 years since Francis Crick and Ted Jones lamented the Backwardness of Human Neuroanatomy, pointing out our fundamental knowledge gap and lack of tools to provide adequate understanding of the brain circuitry that underlies complex human behavior.  While advances have been made, primarily using imaging methods, the available information about the architecture of the human brain remains sparse.

The Online Brain Atlas Reconciliation Tool (OBART) aims to provide a quantitative solution to the so-called neuroanatomicalnomenclature problem by comparing overlap relations between regions defined as spatial entities in different brain atlases.

 

 

The Human Brain Connectivity Database includes details (based on manual literature curation) of tract tracing or related connectivity studies conducted in human brain tissue.
